On August 5, we completed another session of our 21st Century Community Policing and Cultural Competency Course at Delta College Police Academy in Michigan. A special thanks to our host, Mr. Galvann Smith and his staff, Major General (Ret) Adolph McQueen, US Army, and Mr. Daniel Rosa from the Michigan Commission of Law Enforcement Standards for stopping by to see our course.
Feedback from students continue to show us that our practical, relevant and “eye opening” course is value-added to the law enforcement community. Here are some testimonials:
It was very helpful in seeing my occupation from a different perspective. I will use a lot of this training and push it through the ranks. Chief Todd Golnick, Cadillac Police Department
The course was very timely. The course had the best discussion of racial profiling that I have had in over 20 years on the job. Very useful and informative. Sergeant Tony C.
Course was an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas with fellow students and made us focus on the changes caused by events of the past decade. Provided tools to get us thinking about ideas on how we can build trust in our communities and our departments. Sergeant Major Rodney H.
Very enjoyable training. I have several things to take back and apply. Thank you. Captain Eric E.
Northwest Region (Seattle) is our next scheduled session.
